About Our School

All students will be taught how to study and memorize sacred scripture, the Baltimore catechism, prayers used in the liturgy, the rosary and other important prayers. They will be encouraged to actively participate in prayer at appointed hours throughout the day, as well as in weekly sacred liturgy. The sacrament of reconciliation will be offered frequently for those who have received their first reconciliation. For those students who have not yet received it, they will receive sacramental preparation. Students can serve in the liturgy in various ministries, such as sacristan, altar serve, choir and lector. Inspired by Blessed John Henry Newman, the students will have the opportunity to take part in various corporal works of mercy in the community.

Cultivating a spirit and love of wisdom is the primary goal of a of a Catholic Classical education. According to St. Thomas Aquinas, the wise person orders things well and directs them according to their ends. The ultimate end of man is God and so to be wise, we must order all of our academic work towards God, and everything that is not aligned with our eternal happiness with God should be discarded. Starting from this principle, students pursue wisdom and virtue by means of the seven classical liberal arts, which is the historically proven way for gaining authentic wisdom and virtue. Students will also fulfill and exceed the minimum state requirements through an efficiently condensed modern curriculum.

To enter Kindergarten all students must be five years old on or before September 1

• Students sorted not by age or grade level but by mastery level. Students progress on demonstration of mastery. Students of various ages can thus be in the same classroom.
• Novel technology not put first as an object of study or a tool used in the classroom. Abacus before calculator, chalkboard before smartboard, pencil before keyboard, etc.
• Classical class structure allows for large classrooms. There are various levels of hierarchy with each level having responsibility for others within it.  i.e. more experienced and skilled students assist less advanced students, and older students are role models and helpers for younger students
• All students have responsibilities for cleaning their space.

• Seek wisdom and virtue to model the way for students
• Strive in word and deed to believe in God and all that He has said and revealed, and everything the Catholic Church proposes for belief so as to be a model of faith
• Are dedicated to leading children incrementally to mastery of the liberal arts and to ever deeper Christian discipleship
• Challenge students to improve continuously
• Encourage students and recognize their moral, spiritual and academic achievements
