Christopher Nicklaus - Class of 2017

Chris graduated from boot camp in early August 2018 at Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia; he continued his advanced training at Fort Benning to become an Abrams Tank System Maintainer. He was assigned to Charlie Co., 1st Battalion, 81st Armored Regiment, 194th Armored Brigade where he held the position of platoon leader. He received a medal for graduating as the Distinguished Honor Graduate; he also received a promotion to E2 and then a meritorious promotion to E3 (Private First Class).

He was based at Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Chris is an M1-A2 SEPV2 Systems Maintainer on the Abrams Tank serving in A Company, 1-68 Armor, 4th Infantry Division.

Chris was deployed after Christmas. He is currently in Jordan working with the Special Forces Rangers and will soon transfer to Kuwait City.
