Athletic Boosters

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30PM in Room 100.  Meetings generally last 60 minutes.  Watch Facebook for meeting schedule changes, event announcements and other Booster news.

What do we fund: 

The annual budget for the Booster Club continues to grow each year as we support more athletic needs.  Athletic costs are partially covered by the school system, however, our fundraising efforts are critical to add many necessities as well as upgrades to our programs.  For example, the Booster Club is responsible for funding: 

• Jerseys for all sports, grades 4-12, on rotation 

• Helmets, mouthguards, and field equipment

• Nets for all sports 

• Scorebooks, erase boards, stopwatches, 

• Balls for all sports 

• Cameras and filming

• All tournament fees, all sports

• All medical supplies

• All media coverage 

• Weight room equipment, field equipment 

• Travel expenses to State tournaments 

• Bleacher rental 

The list is long and the needs are greater.  We can’t meet the needs, let alone the wish list, without fundraising.  Any way that you support an event, program, or service project helps to raise funds to support these programs.  YOU are the key to successful athletics. 

Being involved in the Booster Club is rewarding to you, your athlete, and your school.  Make new friends and form lifelong bonds with fellow parents and alumni by actively participating in Booster activities.  The saying “many hands makes for light work” is so true for our organization.  We are always in need of volunteers to help with:

• Work a shift in the concession stand 

• Serve on the Cabin Fever committee – help with set up, help sell sponsorships, gathering auction items, decorating, or picking up food 

• Serve on a Swing Fest committee – help with set up, help sell tickets at the event, help sell sponsorships, help picking up food, 

• Banquets – help with set up, decorating, picking up food and more 

• Athletic Programs – help sell advertising in our fall and winter sports program magazine 

• Cardinal Cards – help sell Cardinal Cards to family, friends, neighbors, etc.  

• Driveway Signs – help sell and paint on driveway signs 

Cabin Fever supports Newman Catholic Athletics.  It's a great evening with live music, food and friends.

The proceeds from Swingfest help with offsetting the cost of athletics at Newman Catholic Middle and High Schools. Swingfest is always the third Friday in July and held at Pine Valley Golf Course.
