College Scholarships
So where does college scholarship money come from?
- 40% is Federal aid. This is needs based and is determined using FAFSA.
- 39% is from College and Universities. This is merit and need-based. This is the BEST source for scholarship money other than government grants for financial need.
- 13% is from private sources.
- 8% is State aid. This is also needs based.

- If you intend to play Division I or Division II sports in college you must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center before your junior year.
