WHAT IS SCRIP?

SCRIP is a nationally recognized fundraising program. Retailers sell gift certificates and gift cards to NCS Scrip at a discount. NCS sells the gift cards at full face value. The families redeem the gift cards at face value and the discount is retained by Newman Catholic Schools, of which a portion is offered as a tuition rebate.

Scrip is offered by hundreds of local and national retailes ~ where most of you already shop!

With every purchase, you earn revenue for Newman Catholic Schools and reduce your tuition bill.

The profit is divided 60 / 40, as an incentive for families to use the program.

40% is made available to assist in payment of NCS tuition. Credits are totaled and issued once a year in April

40% as a Fundraiser to support programs throughout the entire system

20% administrative cost to cover the expenses of the program

The 2009-2010 scrip sales year ended with $1,142,364.00 in sales! Profit was $52,734.00 of which over $21,000 was reimbursed as family tuition credit.

The SCRIP Office located at NCS Central Office, 619 Stark Street, Wausau is staffed by 90% volunteers, therefore hours are dependent upon the number and availability of volunteers. Hours of operation are subject to change.
