The Phonathon is Phase II of the Newman Catholic Schools Annual Fund Drive. Every March several alumni and NCHS students gather to make telephone calls to any alumni, parents, parents of alumni and friends that have not already donated to the Annual Fund to seek support.
The funds raised from the Phonathon are restricted and used to help support those families who may otherwise be unable to afford a Newman Catholic School education for their children. Each year over 100 students receive financial assistance from the Phonathon. Four Newman Catholic High School scholarships at $2,000 each are awarded and approximately 140 NCS Financial Aid grants are made available to qualifying families.
The goal for the 2008 Phonathon is $20,000!
I am happy to report that thanks to our dedicated callers, we were able to surpass our goal of $20,000, and received $25,280 in pledges in donations in 2007.
Please note: Calls are only made to anyone that has not already donated to our Annual Fund. Please help us limit the amount of contacts by mailing in your pledge as soon as you receive it. If for some reason, you do not receive your pledge form or call and would like to make a donation, you may mail your donation to:
