National Honors Society is open to qualifying sophomores through seniors who have been invited to apply and who have been accepted by majority vote of a faculty council. NCHS conducts a fall application process and invites seniors who previously applied, but were not accepted to reapply in the spring of senior year.
The Newman Chapter of NHS is in charge of Catholic Schools Week activities and promotes activites which emphasize leadership, good character, service and academic achievement in the school and greater community. NHS members must maintain a GPA of 3.25 each semester and must perform and document 10 hours of service each semester.
