Forensics is public speaking and oral interpretation of literature, with events designed to focus on each of the different ways the spoken word can be used to persuade or move an audience.

Forensics offers students an opportunity to develop critical thinking, organization, persuasion, and oral communication skills. Forensics provides students with an opportunity to develop social skills, including teamwork. Students develop realistic attitudes toward competition through competing responsibly and effectively in an intellectual environment.
