Dan Smet is entering his 3rd season as head coach for the Newman Catholic Cardinals Varsity Baseball team. Dan is a 1996 graduate of UW-Oshkosh. Dan pitched for the Titans during the 1993 season when they placed 2nd in the college world series. Dan is no stranger to coaching the coaching scene. His resume includes being the assistant baseball coach for Berlin high school in 1996, the junior varsity softball coach at Phillips High School during the spring of 1999, the junior varsity baseball coach for Wausau West High School in the spring of 2000 under Jim Havlish, and was the assistant baseball coach at Newman Catholic High School for the years 2001-2004. He recently spent four years (2004-2008) as head varsity softball coach building a competitive program here at Newman Catholic. As a former member of "The Farm", Dan was a player on the 1997 and 1999 world champions and the 2003 and 2004 men’s major ASA national champions where he was voted the most valuable hitter during the 2004 national tournament.

Welcome Aboard: Let’s welcome aboard our newest high school coach, Mr. Adam Brzezinski who has been hired as the new varsity baseball assistant coach. Adam is a Newman Catholic graduate and has been very active as a WIAA high school basketball official.
