Richard ‘Rick’ Meverden ‘75 died unexpectedly Sunday, October 21, 2007 while pursing one of his greatest passions—musky fishing. Rick is survived by his wife Terese, a daughter Margo and a son Corey. He is further survived by his parents Richard and Nancy, two brothers, Randy ‘77(Nancy) and Ron (special friend Vicki St. Clair).

Pauline Wanserski passed away at her home on October 3, 2007. She is survived by 9 children, Donald ’57, Joseph ’58, Marie Shilka ’63, Virginia Gottschalk, Henry, James, Carol Drechsler, David, and Ann Robison, 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry, November 5, 1981 and a daughter, Elaine Aschenbrener ’61.

Helen M. Bartelme passed away at Aspirus Hospital under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice service on November 21, 2007. Helen is survived by her children, Brigid Dean ’66, Rev. James Bartelme ’69, Thomas ’73, Patrick ’77 and Ileanna Gonzalez ’59, a former foreign exchange student who had stayed with the family. Her husband Robert preceded her in death, August 31, 2000,.

Judith Ninabuck-Gothann passed away peacefully on November 22, 2007 in Apache Junction, AZ. She married Duane “Dusty” Ninabuck. He preceded her in death, and in 2000 she married Carl “Bud” Gothann. Judith is survived by 2 daughters, Debra Krebsbach ’83 and Terri Kelly ’86 and a son, DuWayne ’85.

Barbara ‘Babs’ Powers died November 27, 2007 at home. She is survived by husband Michael Powers ’71; daughters Stefanie Henry and Rhiannon MacKenzie; parents John and Shirley Kutil; siblings John Kutil, Kathy Mayer ’76, Michael Kutil ’78, (Laurie Narlock ’81), David Kutil ’79, (Donna Wadzinski ’82), Antoinette Schmitt ’80; sister-in-law Barbara Powers ’69, and brother-in-law Joe Powers ’82.

Lucy K. Kasmerchak died December 3, 2007 at her home. Survivors include husband Robert, 6 daughters, Constance Thoma ’66, Candace Hanz ’69, Cynthia Malak ’72, Cheryl Olig ’76, Carla Kasmerchak and Christine Baumann and 4 sons, John, Joe, Jay and Jim.

W. Robert ‘Bob’ Brennan died December 12, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Anastasia, daughters Mary Anne, Rita Rose Berens, Patricia Reich and Teresa Reinhard ’67, as well as sons William ’69, Joseph ’73, John ’75, Edward ’76 and Thomas ’81.

Earl J. Madary ’83 passed away peacefully on December 16, 2007 at his home. Earl is survived by his wife Marci Kampschroer ’86 and children Rachel and Joseph.

Robert T. Lemke ‘62, died January 2, 2008 in Florida. Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Thiel) Lemke ’65, son Kim Lemke, daughter Becky Lemke, brother Ronald Lemke ’65, and sister Kathy Rossi ’69.

Leeann ‘Lee’ Heikkinen died January 4, 2008 after a fierce fight with cancer at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Survivors include her mother, Irene Heikkinen, and four sons: Paris Wanta, Sterling Wanta ’07, Soren Wanta and Riley Heikkinen.

Marjorie A. Dolan passed away January 6, 2008 at North Central Health Care, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Dolan, and children Daniel ’64, John ’71, Ann Zientara ’68, Jane Dolan ’78, Mary Kronenwetter ’72, Lisa Dolan ’80 and Laurie Piacentini ’81.

John D. McCarten ‘57, died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at home. John is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Dalbec) McCarten, and four children, Christa McCarten ’80, Kelley Kolpitcke ’82, Karen Zanon ’86 and Patrick McCarten ’87.

James ‘Jim’ Zbella, class of '57, peacefully passed away on January 8, 2008 at his home in Reno, Nevada. Survivors include sons Jim and Mike and daughters Becky Miles and Jenny Orsini.

Carl Aschenbrener died January 18, 2007. Survivors include his wife Barbara Aschenbrener ’59, daughter Carla Soczka, and sisters Sally Polzer ’60 and Mary Aschenbrener ’66.

Margaret Heinrichs passed away February 6, 2008. She is survived by her children, Carol Dombroski ’62, Ellen Stiner ’64, Tom Heinrichs ’69, Nancy Wendorf ’75 and Kay Hintze ’76.

Lucille E. Wiernasz died Friday, February 29, 2008 in Wausau. She is survived by her children, Michael Wiernasz ’70, William Wiernasz ’75 and Elizabeth Campbell ’79.

Marvin Nelles passed away March 1, 2008 at home. Survivors include his wife Elsie, and five children: Paul Nelles ’71, Mary Hall ’73, Louise Wolf ’75, Daniel Nelles ’77 and Linda Carsello ’78.

Floyd Tarbert died Saturday, March 1, 2008. Survivors include his wife Jane and four children: Cindy Miller ’72, Linda Predeth, Brian Tarbert and Lisa Singer.

James Siewert died March 4, 2008. Survivors include his wife Joyce (Dahlke) Siewert, and children Jerry Siewert ‘68, Patty Lewis ’71, and Scott (Deb Zynda ’80) Siewert.

John Halinowski died March 15, 2008 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston. Survivors include his wife Danuta Halinowski, daughter Bernadette Bartig ’89, and son George Halinowski ’85, of Weston.

Edwin ‘Eddie’ Gliniecki passed away March 16, 2008 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Agnes, and children Joseph ’82, Carol Cachares ’84, Annette Witter ’87, Julie ’89, and David ’91.

John Kannenberg died Monday, March 17, 2008. Survivors include his wife Ella Rose Kannenberg and sons Loren ’66, Lloyd ’65, and Anthony.

Teresa ‘Terri’ Podruch ’73 died unexpectedly on March 27, 2008. Survivors include her husband Paul Podruch ’72 and their son Mick.

Violet Gesicki died March 29, 2008 at Wausau Manor. Survivors include her children Judith Seehafer ’65, John Gesicki ’67, and Mary Giese ’72.

George Medo died March 30, 2008 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Survivors include his wife Betty, daughters Mary Moyer ’85, Sara Medo, and sons Mark, Andrew, Matthew and James, and stepchildren Cindy Vertz, Sue Ann Vertz, Janice Graap, Tammy Styczynski, Teresa Leuch, Todd Prescott and Time Luepke.

Rose Chellberg died April 4, 2008 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. Survivors include children Gary Chellberg ’59, Randy Chellberg, Sharon Magnin, Lena Chellberg, and Shirley Chandler ’63.

Dolores M. Krall died April 8, 2008 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center. Survivors include husband George Krall and sons Jerry Krall ’65 and Gary Krall ’66.

Timothy Frickenstein ’72 died Friday, April 11, 2008 at his home. He is survived by three aunts, numerous cousins, and his faithful dog, Chico.

George B. Hiles died Friday, May 16, 2008. Survivors include his wife, Edith, son George W. Hiles II ’68, and two granddaughters.

Orville W. Heinz died May 20, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Survivors include his children Orville N. Heinz ’55 and Joan Heinz ’57, as well as four grandchildren: Mark Heinz ’78, Lori Heinz ’82, Jeff Heinz ’80 and Corey Heinz ’89.

Esther Hornik died May 23, 2008 in Chippewa Falls. Survivors include her children, Walter Hornik Jr. ’63, Marlene Patton ’70, Dennis Hornik, and Rose Tryba.

Ronald Ebben passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008. He is survived by his wife Joanna and six children: Mary Schumacher-Slobodnik ’74, Tom Ebben ’76, Ann McManus ’77, Betty Ebben-Wimmer ’79, Ellen Williams ’81 and Sara Koepsell ’85.

Dorothy C. Krzanowski died June 15, 2008 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She is survived by many family and friends, including daughter Susette Gunseor ’80.

Peter A. Okray passed away July 5, 2008 at the Hospice Care Center, Fitchburg. Peter had endured a lengthy battle with lymphoma. Survivors include his wife, Cathy, and his children, James ’89 and Elizabeth Klingbile ’90.
