On Saturday, May 7, 2011 Newman Catholic Schools honored twelve outstanding individuals at the annual Founder’s Day Celebration. Over 110 people attended the evening, which began with Mass celebrated by Fr. Jesse Burish and Fr. Steve Brice at the Church of St. Anne.

The celebration then moved to Newman Catholic High School for a reception, dinner and awards program. Kelly Meverden, NCS Director of Development & Alumni presented the Cornerstone Award. Distinguished Alumni Awards were presented by Dr. Janet Klosinski, NCS President, Mr. Mike Switalski, NCHS Instructor, and Ms. Romy Deegan, NCES-St. Mark Instructor. Sr. Carolyn Bronk, NCES-St. Mark Instructor presented the Athletic Hall of Fame along with Mr. Don Wanserski, Mr. Joel Braatz and Kelly Meverden. Mr. Larry Theiss, NCHS Principal, and Mrs. Tina Meyer, NCMS Principal presented the Volunteer of the Year awards. Servers for the evening were Newman Catholic High School Student Ambassadors.
