On Saturday, April 12, 2008, the Newman Catholic Schools community honored several individuals at the annual Founder’s Day Celebration. The celebration began with Mass at 4:30 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Robert Thorn at St. Matthew Church. A Social and Dinner followed at Newman Catholic High School, hosted by the NCS Development / Alumni department, and served by our own NCHS Student Ambassadors.

Rev. Thorn opened the evening with an Invocation followed by a welcome by Mark Watson, President of Newman Cathoic Schools. Jan Klosinski, NCS Vice President & Principal at NCES at St. Mark, Larry Theiss, Principal-NCHS, Danny Rozwadowski, NCS Athletic Director, Sandy Gilge, Principal at NCES at St. Anne and Kelly Meverden-NCS Development/Alumni Director presented awards and speeches. Mr. Kevin Wolf, Chairman, NCS Development Committee closed the evening’s festivities with a toast to all honorees and generous supporters of Newman Catholic Schools. Rev. Gerry Pehler, Holy Name of Jesus Parish offered the closing prayer.
